Basket Boating in Vietnam!
I had a scary journey on this basket boat. It went round and round in circles until I was quite dizzy! Halong Bay was fun and I got to climb the rigging! It's not long before I get home now :)

China travels!
In China I needed a new hat because it was so hot. Did you know that over 1,000,000,000 (one billion) people live in China, mostly in the cities which are very polluted. I was allowed to visit the Forbidden City and it looked just like it does in the film, Mulan. I also climbed the Great Wall of China, very sweaty when you are furry and saw the Terracotta Army. To relax I went rafting down the river in the south of China.

Mongolian adventure
I had such fun in Mongolia. Firstly we stayed in a 'ger' which is a round tent. The Mongolian nomadic people stay in them even in the winter when the temperature goes to minus 40 degrees. Can you imagine how cold that is? The best part was riding with on the local ponies.

Russia!
I am in Russia and it is really hard to read signs especially on the Metro. (I haven't even managed to find honey in the shops!) I saw a poster that I remember seeing in New Zealand but the writing is different. Can you tell me what it is please? I have visited the Summer Palace in St Petersburg that has 140 fountains and the largest Russian Orthodox Church in Moscow. Today I am getting on a train and I don't get off for 4 days and 4 nights! I get to sleep in the top bunk....... yay!

Glad I didn't live in the 1600's!
This is the Tower of London and it used to be used as a prison! I wonder why the windows are shaped the way they are. I didn't go inside - I was too frightened. Where there is grass used to e a moat. Do you know what a moat is?
London adventure!
I went up in a cable car above the River Thames in London. It was constructed fir the 2012 Olympic Games. I felt a bit queasy because it wobbled a lot. It was fun waving to the people going the other way.
Lost in the woods.............
I went down to the woods today for a teddy bear's picnic and got lost. For ages. I was very scared. I walked down paths, went in circles and came back to where I started. My bags were heavy and I got really grumpy.

Journey through Turkey
I have met lots of friends in Turkey and can even speak some Turkish words! If you say 'tea sugar' it sounds the same as 'thank you' in Turkish, so I have been using my manners :) In the picture of the amphitheatre, gladiators used to fight with each other and wild animals too. I visited Anzac Cove and saw the graves of soldiers who died fighting. It was very sad.

Here I am in Turkey
I have been in Istanbul and met a new friend - Stephan and his sister. They run a restaurant. Istanbul has 17,000,000 people living there and it is noisy. Several times a day the people are called to prayer in the mosque. Here is a picture of the Blue Mosque.

Elephants crossing!
I have seen the biggest elephant you can possibly imagine! It made me shiver in my paws. I was so close it could have reached out and stolen my hat!

South Africa
We found lots of penguins! These are African Pengiuns and they are endangered. The cheeky baboon stole the salt from our table :(
Rio de Janeiro
I was in Brazil for a week and it was extremely hot. I couldn't find a sunhat my size, unfortunately. I made good friends with the lady in the picture. The World Cup is in Brazil next year and the next Olympic Games will be there too.

Lake Titicaca
I spent a night with a local family on an island on Lake Titicaca. It is the highest lake in the world. It was so cold, I had to wear a local woolly hat, made for me by the lady in the photograph. My next stop is Rio de Janeiro in Brazil. It's very hot there, so I might need a sunhat.....

The Inca Trail and Machu Picchu
I am recovering from 4 days following the trail that the Incas built hundreds of years ago. I had to get up in the dark every morning and walk for hours and hours, My paws got very sore and there was no honey at all :( The mountains were huge and the highest point we crossed was 4,200 metres! We passed lots of prickly pear plants. The local people make cochineal from white stuff found on the leaves. Do you know what cochineal is?

Darkest Peru!
I tried feeding pigeons in Lima, the capital city of Peru, but they were a bit scared of me. Did you know that avocados, tomatoes and potatoes all originated in Peru? See if you can find out how many types of potatoes there are - let me know your guesses - you will be amazed! Maize is also different here - look at all the different colours! Peruvians eat guinea pigs! Can you believe it? I am glad Mr and Mrs F don't eat meat. I hope they don't get a liking for small brown bears.
At the moment, I am in Cusco, which is in the Andes Mountains. See what you can find out about the Andes. Tomorrow, we start the 4 day trek to Machu Pichu and we have to go very high. I will blog again when we get home.......if we get home...... there is a picture of me on the Inca terraces. What can you find out about the Incas?

Amazon Rainforest
I spent 3 days on the Amazon River and walking in the rainforest! There were loads of Mosquitos and I got heaps of bites even through my fur :( See me sitting at the front of the boat? I nearly fell in once! See the large lily pad I am on? Well, when the ladies are doing their washing in the river, they put their newborn baby onto the lily pad and it is quite safe! There are piranhas in the river and they have very sharp teeth. If you swim with a cut, you will be eaten! I have also put on a few scary photos I took, of a tarantula, a rainbow boa and a baby caiman, a bit like a crocodile.

Galapagos animals
Here are a few photos I have taken: there is a land iguana, SeaLions, blue footed booby, sea iguana, crabs and a frigate bird.
Sailing in the Galápagos Islands
I have spent 4 nights on a catamaran and it was quite bumpy at times and I felt seasick:( Did you know that in the Galápagos Islands, none of the birds, reptiles, mammals or fish are scared of humans? They come really close to you! Of course, we have to show respect and not touch them or get too close, but sometimes they almost touch you! On the boat there are lots of drills and emergency practices in case of 'teddy overboard' and things like that. In my next blog I will show you some photos I have taken of the animals.
